Convert your base mesh to a SubD
surface and you should have something like
this picture:
If you work in polyproxy
mode, make it a habit to switch back to hierchical mode now and then, to bake
the edits.
Now things starts to get interesting. It is time to add smaller features and
character to the
hand.
I will walk you through making ONE finger, and a couple of other features.
So, lets concentrate on our first finger here.
In Hiearchical mode, Go into display level 1 , select the faces for one finger
and: show->isolate select->toggle 'isolate selected'
If you wish, you can create bookmarks for these views also.
Or just continue working on the whole model
Here, i have starting forming the finger at level one
by pulling points and edges like shown in the picture.
This moment is also covered in the media file on the next page.
In step 4 we will start building the nail.
