As in many other cases we start off a SubD surface with a cube:

Apply 4 divisions for the fingers and scale the cube out as shown in the picture.

Start extruding the fingers with 'Polygons->tool option->keep faces together' toggled off.


Also, begin pulling points to get the valved feeling to the base mesh. As a total make 3 extrusion as shown.
Scale appriximately as shown (this is finetuned later on)

After the fingers we start extruding of the hand:

Extrude the hand with 'Polygons->tool option->keep faces together' toggled ON so we're not left
with zero area polygons
inbetween.




STEP2
